How do you introduce yourself to a stranger at a party?

My name is Aaron Ashlock, I am a Digital Marketer and yes, she is with me!

What’s your go-to game right now?

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege. The game was released over 4 years ago and I can still play it every day.

What’s one marketing campaign that has stuck with you over the years?

In 2018, Tide ran an ad campaign during the Super Bowl. The ads seemed to be generic ads for other products or companies: for example, displaying a pearl necklace for a jewelry store. Then David Harbour would stop the commercial and say “nope, it’s a tide ad” because in all commercials the actors’ clothes are always clean. Therefore, any ad could be a Tide ad. Brilliant.

What’s your favorite marketing channel, in general?

Twitch.tv has interactive ads that are both fun and effective. For example, there is one for Amazon’s Alexa. You are able to click on commands and see how Alexa would respond.

What’s the last book you read?

I am more of a podcast person. The podcast that I have been listening to is called Start Up by Gimlet. It follows the start up process by following the podcast production company Gimlet.

What song would you say best describes your work style?

Bachman Turner Overdrive, “Takin’ Care of Business”

What in-game achievement are you most proud of accomplishing?

There is an achievement in  Rainbow Six: Siege called “Jack of All Trades.” The description is “Win 1 round with every original Operator in Ranked.” This achievement isn’t the rarest, but I believe it shows that you are not a one-trick pony.
